In DCUO you create your own character to play throughout the PvE portions of the game. As such, GodsWar Online team have decided to offer free character migration off these realms to join larger English-language communities. Once the migrations are complete, these realms will be brought down and prepped for the GodsWar Online Gold of the Lich King launch.

Free Character Migration
Free character migration will be active from the above GodsWar Online Gold to different destination realms. This migration will open next week and remain open for some time even after the realms have been closed.
The destination realms for each source realm will be given when the migration opens.

The exact time of closing these migrations will be decided at a later time. When the migration closes, remaining characters will be automatically transferred to the one of their GodsWar Gold realm with the lowest population.

Paid Character Transfers and other migration
Players wishing to use the Paid Character Transfer service to go to another realm than those above may of course do so. All the above realms also have migration available to Russian realms until that option closes on September 9th (as per our previous GodsWar Gold).

The first interesting quote from Jon is "Defeat in Guild Wars 2 Gold is intended to be an experience, not a punishment." As weird as it might sound, we decided to look into what would make dying a more enjoyable and memorable play experience."

The secret to how the Guild Wars 2 Gold team will be addressing this pressing question is a new feature called ‘Downed mode'.

"Rather than being presented with immediate failure, when a player loses all of their health in Guild Wars 2 Gold, they are put into 'downed mode'. In this mode, the player has a number of downed skills they can use to target enemies and fight for a chance to survive. A downed player can still be attacked, which will send them into a defeated state, leaving them to either wait for an ally to resurrect them or to resurrect at a waypoint."

Why should we debuff you, take away experience, or make you run around for five minutes as a ghost instead of letting you actually play the game? We couldn't think of a reason. Well, we did actually think of a reason--it just wasn't a good one. Death penalties make death in-game a more tense experience. It just isn't fun. We want to get you back into the action (fun) as quickly as possible. Defeat is the penalty; we don't have to penalize you a second time."

Each recipe needs a gem and a kit, the gem is a body drop and the kit is bought from Merhcants in the harvesting areas (Lachish Plains, Potain, and Purple Lotus Swamp).

Where to get Gems in DAOC Platinum

Gems drop off any humanoid mobs, the following level ranges drop the following tiers

Tier 1 - level 40-49 - Field of the Dead or Noble District
Tier 2 - level 50-59 - Eiglophian Mountains
Tier 3 - level 60-69 - Thunder River, Atzel's Approach
Tier 4 - level 70-74 - Atzel's Approach, Keshatta
Tier 5 - level 75-79 - Keshatta
Tier 6 - level 80+ - Keshatta (gems are listed as lvl75)

Note: The Villas in Noble District drop gems that scale with your level with DAOC Platinum. Four of the five villas drop the gems, the one that does not is Villa Camillus.

Gem Size

Each crafted item will have a gem size, this size is the maximum size a SINGLE gem can be.

As for gems, you have to divide their size by 5 DAOC Platinum for it to correspond with their actual size. Therefore, flawless gems are really size 2 and uncut are size 1.

Adding to Items

To add a gem to an item the first thing you have to do is check both the items and gem level. In order for a gem to fit in an item its level has to be equal or lower to the weapons level.

Warning: You cannot recover gems from an item once it has been socketed, nor can you overwrite a gem currently socketed in an item in DAOC Plat.

Make sure both the item and the gem are in your inventory (NOT equipped).

Select the gem, the items that the gem can be added to will be surrounded with a green border.

Drag and drop the gem onto the selected item.

Stacking of effects currently works, however, this may get changed in the future.

Note: it takes a few seconds for the game to register that a gem was been placed on an item.

Obtaining Gem Effects

What do I mean by this? Well currently there is a bug where if you zone or login with a gemmed item equiped its effects do not apply to you in DAOC Plat. Well that is not completely true. Currently what happens is the game registers the bonuses as being on you, but doesn't give you the effects in the situation where you enter a new zone with a socketed item equipped.

Hero Online is warning its players to stay away from third party sites claiming to have bots, hack, exploits and the like. There has been a recent issue with these sites, resulting in players losing their inventory.

We have received MANY inquiries regarding players who've gotten disconnected and returned to find their inventory hero goldempty.

Cabal Online is a fast-paced action MMORPG. It is licensed and published for the European English language market by Game-Masters.com. cabal alz is a well known MMORPG among most gamers.

Being an OnRPG journalist does not mean that I have to be familiar with all MMOs. I have played most of them, but that does not take away the fact that I used to have little knowledge about cabal alz. The game had never looked really interesting to me and I had practically given up on it after playing the game for an hour or two. A few weeks ago I was asked to do an in-game tour with a professional cabal alz player. I accepted the amazing offer and the tour begun...

First impression
The tour took place on the European servers. The contact with Game Masters went really well and they helped me whenever I needed them. After all the preparations it was finally time to do the tour!

From the moment I entered the game I was pretty amazed. I used to play cabal alz on an older computer, which meant that I had almost all the settings on low. Playing the game on the maximum settings was a real blast. The graphics were nice and the characters looked pretty decent. The character customization, however, was disappointing. You do not have many hairstyles and faces to choose from, which automatically leads to encountering many duplicates of your character in-game.

Gameplay
After meeting with Christo, the experienced cabal gold player, and Anthony, Game Master's community person, we were ready to set off. The first thing we did was checking all the available towns and fields of the game. A snowy town, a desert, a small settlement in the middle of the forest and so on! I was glad that the scenery showed so much variety. The gameplay was a little bit choppy, though. I, and other cabal gold players, kept getting stuck without a real reason, which was not what I expected after taking a look at the game. It seems as if the developers did not pay much attention to the details.

After the sightseeing Anthony had to leave, but Christo decided to do a few dungeons with me so I could try the combat. The attacks and skills did not really impress me. They did look cool, being flashy and all, but the battles did not take any skill. I found myself pressing random skills and drinking some potions from time to time until my opponent was finally dead. It is really fun to look at your character stabbing a monster for a few times, but it gets really repetitive, especially with the huge amount of grind.

The dungeons were as choppy as the towns. I decided to change my setting, restart my computer and so on, but nothing really helped. One of the party members ensured me that the choppiness was part of the game and that there was nothing to do about it.

The community of the game was really awesome. My party members told me about the game while crawling through the dungeons and they gave me a few tips and Christo did everything he could to increase my knowledge of buy cabal and it actually worked! I have learned a lot about Cabal in that single day and I have to say that it was really worth it, despite the choppiness and the grindy combat.

At the end of the tour we decided to take a look at the toughest monster in-game. It was basically a huge flying robot with tons of minions around him. Killing the minions wasn't a problem but the boss itself dealt a huge amount of damage so we decided to leave him alone after attempting to kill it.

The tour was truly amazing. It was a nice and original way to inform a journalist about the game. Christo did a wonderful job and so did Anthony.
